Well, I guess I kind of fell off track... I was so sore last week that I ended up taking the week off from running. Every morning I woke up and every muscle in my body hurt. My legs, my back, my arms, my neck. Ouch. That 5K must have really given me a workout!
So today, I got back out there. My muscles feel better, although they are still slightly sore. I knew I wouldn't be able to do the whole 28 minutes that Week 8 calls for, but I figured I'd do as much as I could. I ran for 11 minutes and made it 1 mile. Then I walked for 6 minutes and ran the last 11 minutes. It was tough, I could tell that I had taken a week off.
I'll try to get out there this week and next, but it's getting to be so busy with Christmas coming up and we're on vacation next week, so I'll have to really work at getting it in. Just 2 more weeks... I've gotta finish the program!
